First award made by the Ministry of Education and Training Vietnam to a foreigner from the private sector.
The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has awarded their highest award, the medal “For the Cause of Education” to Khalid Muhmood, General Director and co-founder of Apollo Education and Training Vietnam and long term BBGV Committee member. The award was presented in recognition of Apollo’s contribution to the development of education and training in Vietnam over the past ten years. H. E. Vice Minister of Education and Training H.E. Prof. Nhung and the British Ambassador H.E. Robert Gordon were present at the ceremony. In his speech the Ambassador remarked that, “we are gratified that our compatriot Khalid Muhmood has been chosen for this special mark of distinction. It illustrates the deepening educational partnership between Vietnam and the United Kingdom in both public and private spheres.” In his congratulatory message the Minister of Education and Training H.E. Nguyen Minh Hien stated “this is a noble and significant award and you are well deserved to receive it.”
